Ashoka Arab World seeks to create a community of Social Entrepreneurs in the Arab region, who tackle and reform societal problems with their innovative approaches. What is even better than the mind of one Social Entrepreneur , however, are the ingenious solutions that two Social Entrepreneurs can come up with. Ashoka facilitates collaborations of Fellows so they can learn from each other, share valuable knowledge and insights, and leave better equipped to advance their work.

Some of the past partnerships between Fellows have included:

> Salah Arafa and M'hammed Abbad Andaloussi - In order to bridge the gap between Egypt's Business sector and Education system, Egyptian Fellow Salah Arafa presented a case study at the American University in Cairo's annual conference on Civil Society of Moroccan Fellow Andaloussi's experiences with tackling this gap.

> M'hammed Abbad Andaloussi and Hisham El Roubi - Egyptian Fellow Hisham's  ideas and methods for spreading the concept of volunteerism will be spread in Moroccan civil society, using schools and Civil Sector Organizations as a tool for franchising the idea. A team of workers will be trained to implement the program, and a pilot phase will engage 3 schools in one Moroccan village.

> Samy Gamil and Maha Helali - Both Fellows will collaborate to develop and produce a Makaton language (very simple gestures used to communicate) dictionary that can be used by people with a variety of disabilities.Samy can introduce this language in his courses for deaf people, and Maha for people with autism.

> Selim Mawad and Egyptian Fellows - Selim, who is educating Lebanon's youth about democracy and transparency, will organize a training course on advocacy and public awareness campaigns for Egyptian Ashoka Fellows.

> Mohamed Abou El Naga and Sameh Seif - Mohamed, who is revitalizing Egypt's handmade paper industry, and Sameh, who specializes in sustainable wastewater management, have devised a plan to reuse and recycle Nile flowers. Sameh is working with the Nile Basin Initiative, and Mohamed is using these flowers in the recycled paper created by his foundation, El Nafeza.

> Hany El Miniawy and Tamer Bahaa - Hany trained 5 deaf youth in affordable housing construction techniques. The trainees are members of Tamer Bahaa's  (CSO) , the National Association for the Deaf, and are also students at the sign language literacy classes here. This project combined both Fellows' ideas, as Tamer aims at empowering the deaf by providing them with marketable skills, and Hany's model for affordable housing entails training unemployed youth in the techniques of low-cost construction methods.
